Pinewood Derby 2008.  The Best Ever!!!! 

"Saturday the 5th of April 2008 saw the running of the fourth annual Pack 16 Pinewood Derby. While cloudy weather threatened rain delays, 40 heats of races were held without pause. The smell of hot dogs filled the air at Cubington Speedway. Flags furled, fans cheered, and excitement mounted under the IHM shelter. Several of the zero emmission vehicles reached scaled speeds in excess of 180 mph. Crossing the finish line were sportscars, boats, tanks, a wedge of cheese, and a crowd favorite Blocko Wood.

Thanks to all the volunteers who helped out with the race, and most of all to the pit crew/racers that participated."
